The team that had the honor of opening what must have been a very stiff old lock for the first time in 70 years, likened the experience to ‘stumbling into the castle of sleeping beauty’. The smell of dust, the cobwebs, the silence, was overwhelming; a once in a lifetime experience.

That is some really beautiful, ornate furniture. I love the top right of the picture where it shows the heavy wallpaper peeling down the wall. I can only imagine what this room must of looked like in all its glory…stupendous.

That must be amazing to not only see it but step into it after so many years. Unreal! Aside from the peeling wallpaper, the conditions of the furniture look so good, the room still looks majestic!
